OA-INVOLVE is one of the integral projects within AGE-WELL, Technology and Aging Network. It was created with the mission to establish models of best practice for the active involvement of older adults in aging and technology projects to support technology development that is trans-disciplinary and ‘fit for purpose’ for improving the independence, health, wellbeing and quality of life of older adults.

OA-INVOLVE project is informed by a trans-national team of older adults who are involved as advisory and decision-making roles throughout the research process.

OA-INVOLVE bridges research teams, entrepreneurs, developers and community organizations to facilitate their work and share lessons about methods and ways of older adults’ engagement in technology research & development.

OA-INVOLVE focuses on:

• Understanding how best to actively involve older adults in technology related projects
• Evaluating the experience of older adults' involvement
• Assessing how older adults' involvement impacts research processes, technology products and services.
• Providing support to researchers and developers

The evidence-based models of best practice for the active involvement of older adults will aid current and future technology researchers and developers.
